Dessert, Devotions & discussion (3-d)

October through May there is a presentation in the Parish Life Center that also includes a devotion, discussion on the presentation with desserts. 3D meets on the first Friday of the month at 1:30 pm until approximately 3:00 in the Parish Life Center.  It is a time to learn information on a topic and meet other members from the congregation.  The dessert is usually a potluck.

Recent topics have included.....A Visit from All Things Tea in Camarillo, A workshop held by Thrivent Financial on taxes, Healthy cooking demonstration & tasting, A Christmas concert by the CLU Quartets, Lutheran Maritime Ministr, flower arranging and rock painting.  Some photos of 3D are below. 

Each month the new topic is announced in the monthly newsletter. If you would like to be added to the 3D e-mail mailing list please let us know in the church office (office@mountcross.com).

4th wednesday movie

The 4th Wednesday Movie Group is a group of Mount Cross members who attend a movie in a local Camarillo theater on the 4th Wednesday of each month. The movie time is usually early afternoon. The detailed information on the movie theater, movie name and time and is sent out in the Friday e-mail to the congregation (e-mail grapevine) the Friday prior to the movie.  It is a fun way to see members outside of worship and see a movie at the same time.
