Becoming A Member Of Mount Cross
Everyone is welcome to participate in everything we do and everything we offer here at Mount Cross.
If you desire to take personal responsibility for your life of faith by becoming a confirmed member of the church, please keep reading… Do you intend…? Confirmed members are people who intend to continue in the covenant God made with them in holy baptism. They publicly affirm their intention to… 1) live among God's faithful people,
2) hear the word of God and share in the Lord's supper,
3) proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed,
4) serve all people, following the example of Jesus,
5) strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
Confirmed members ask God to help and guide them in turning these five good intentions into a life of faith and action.

Mount Cross Orientation
Several times during the year we offer an orientation for those wishing to become confirmed members of Mount Cross. The session lasts just over an hour. It takes participants on a brief tour of Mount Cross history and its programs. It also provides some explanations and examples of the five good intentions. Those who wish to be confirmed members are asked to submit an Application for Confirmed Membership. You can download a copy below. Transfer of Membership We welcome those who wish to transfer their membership to Mount Cross from another congregation. This includes other Lutheran churches, of course. In addition, as a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we are full-communion partners with several other churches, including the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Church of Christ, the United Methodist Church, the Reformed Church in America, and the Moravian Church. You may contact your current church office and ask them to send us a Letter Of Transfer or you may contact Mount Cross and we will assist in arranging the transfer.
