Stewardship 2010… There is the giving itself. Then there is the receiving. A gift given and received is meant to be opened (imagine how a child would feel if the • gift they gave mom or dad remained unopened under the Christmas tree). A gift is to be used properly (imagine the horror of a child if dad used a Father’s Day tie to shine his shoes!). And finally, there should be a word of thanks. As Christians, we have been given a gift: eternal life in Jesus Christ. Stewardship is another word for how we say thanks – every day and every way we can – for a gift we did not deserve, did not earn, and for which we could never gather enough money to buy. We have prepared a variety of resources to guide you in your life as a thankful steward: Stewardship Resource Guide
