Middle School (Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th)
The mission of youth ministries at Mount Cross is to bring together young people and adult mentors in order to create a space where youth can encounter Christ through Community, Scripture and Service.
We do this by gathering around a meal, for worship, playing games, learning about the Bible, and getting to know each other in small groups. At Mount Cross we call our Middle School ministries “Confirmation”. To “confirm” something means to say “yes” to it. Our hope is that through their experiences at church and church-related events our youth will be encouraged to say “yes” to the way of Jesus. For more information on our confirmation ministry, click here to see our handbook.
When do we meet?
We meet on our church campus most Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00-8:00pm. For more information on Wednesday night schedule, click here.
We also meet once a month for a variety of activities such as bowling, movie nights, the Never-Ending Night, serving at Food Share or with the National Park service, and attending Winter and Summer Camps. For more information on our extra events, click here.
The Middle School youth also have an opportunity to get together on Sundays from 9:30 to 10:30 during our Sunday School hour.
